Procurement Routes

You’re a Developer with a secured site in South West London. The scheme is a new-build residential development formed of 25 apartments varying in size from 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms with a mid-level specification.

You’ve just secured planning and now you want to move from Architectural design to the site works.

You haven’t decided on the final procurement route for the project and you need advice regards to what the pros and cons are in terms of to whom you give Design Responsibility.

We put together this scenario to Jason Farnell, Adjudicator and CEDR Accredited Mediator from Commercial Risk Management.

The C-Link Ebooks count towards your RICS informal CPD hours. Don’t forget to log them!

  • Is the JCT suite of contracts better to choose as a standard form of contract on this project rather than NEC?
