C-Link joins CLIC to strengthen commercial collaboration across construction
C-Link has become a CLIC-approved partner for construction procurement and commercial management software. The Commercial Leadership Collective brings together a growing community of senior commercial leaders from across the UK construction industry.
Together, the two organisations share an ambition to help the industry tackle commercial challenges through better conversations, stronger connections, and practical collaboration.
CLIC was created to give senior commercial professionals a space to step outside the day-to-day pressures of projects and businesses and openly discuss the issues affecting commercial performance across the industry.
Its community brings together leaders from contractors, infrastructure organisations and specialist consultancies, creating an environment where experience can be shared across traditional sector and organisational boundaries.
C-Link will now contribute its own expertise and industry perspective to that community.
From conversation to practical change
The construction industry is not lacking in experience. What it often lacks is the opportunity to connect that experience across businesses, disciplines, and sectors.
That is where the partnership between C-Link and CLIC has the potential to make a difference.
Rather than operating as a traditional sponsorship, the relationship will give C-Link the opportunity to engage directly with senior commercial professionals, understand the challenges they are facing, and contribute practical knowledge and insight where it can add value.
For C-link, it also creates an important feedback loop with the people making commercial decisions on live projects and programmes.
Paul Heming, Founder & CEO of C-Link, said:
“CLIC has created something genuinely valuable by bringing senior commercial people together and giving them the freedom to talk openly about the challenges they are dealing with.
“That aligns strongly with how we think at C-Link. The best solutions come from understanding what is happening on real projects, listening to the people dealing with those challenges every day, and then working collaboratively to improve things.
“We’re looking forward to becoming part of that conversation and, importantly, turning some of those conversations into practical outcomes for CLIC members and the wider industry.”
Building partnerships that add value
CLIC takes a deliberately selective approach to its partnerships.
Partners are chosen for the expertise and practical value they can bring to the community, with the aim of creating relationships that go beyond branding or sponsorship.
That approach reflects CLIC’s wider philosophy. Its roundtables are peer-led and built around live commercial questions, while its private community enables members to seek perspectives from experienced commercial professionals between events.
Davin Dhillon, Founder and Chair of CLIC, said:
“I’m thrilled to welcome C-Link to the Commercial Leadership Collective. CLIC partnership isn’t given lightly; we approve one partner per category, and only where the product genuinely stands up. C-Link has built a platform with a real, established reputation for quality in construction procurement and commercial management, and it’s precisely that pedigree that makes this an easy partnership to get behind. Our members deserve tools that are proven, and this is one of them. I couldn’t be more optimistic about the value it brings to the network.”
A shared opportunity
The partnership will create opportunities for C-Link and CLIC members to exchange knowledge, explore emerging commercial challenges, and develop useful content and initiatives around the issues that matter most to the industry.
Crucially, those activities will be shaped by the conversations taking place within the CLIC community.
It means the starting point is simple:
What are commercial leaders struggling with, and what can we do together to help solve it?
For both C-Link and CLIC, that is where the value of the partnership begins.
